The Seattle Seahawks crushed the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII 45-8 last night. The matchup featured the league’s top defense in Seattle, versus the league’s all-time highest scoring offense, and it’s quarterback Peyton Manning, who set a record for touchdown passes in a single season this year.
Manning, who many have said struggles to win the big games, and has an inferior throwing arm, only cemented that legacy last night.
For the young Seahawks, the future looks bright. With their young franchise quarterback under team control at a low salary for the next several seasons, they should be able to keep this nucleus together next year, and be competing to be in this position every year for the forseeable future.
